This website has been set up to:

• To assist people interested in maritime history by gathering information related to the various searches for the Koombana, the Gilt Dragon survivors and various other wrecks and land-based sites obtained from a number of sources into a central location.

• To provide a place where interested parties may provide information about wrecks that may not yet be discovered for example the Koombana wreck is so that the location can be investigated.

• This site is run by persons interested in maritime history on a part-time basis and aims to improve over time.
